Our mission is to remove barriers of economic and workforce disparities in rural areas by providing workforce development, technology, and basic life skills training to the youth of low income, unemployed and underemployed families.

Youth in Rural Communities are Important Too!
The creation of economic opportunities in rural areas can reduce poverty, crime, and dependence on governmental assistance.
Owens Community Outreach will serve as a viable way to mitigate unwanted outcomes by advocating for workforce development in a community that needs job-creation and gainfully employed citizens.
Workforce development, exposure to technological advances, and basic life skills training can grow the local economy while also meeting the needs of companies whose need is to fill current skill gaps.
This organization was founded out of a growing concern that workforce skills gap training was available only to persons who would be successful even If skills gap training was not provided. Growing up in a rural area, youth can experience firsthand how limited curricula of a rural school paired with an underdeveloped community can have a lasting impact on the plight of a person’s success.
Owens Community Outreach Inc’s goal is to partner with post-secondary schools, companies, and government officials. Ensuring that rural areas are equipped with the tools that are needed for the youth of unemployed, low income, and underemployed families will aid in creating a skilled workforce and a stronger economy.
